Windows 7 merges very well with SharePoint 2010 - especially with the desktop search capabilities. However, one major cause of concern here is a conflict between Windows 7 UAC and SharePoint 2010.

You'll soon discover that Farm Adminstrators and even users using the built in account admins arent able to add web parts from Central Administration.

Till Microsoft gives a new update, here is a workaround:

From Windows 7

1.Open Control Panel
2.Open User Account Control Setting
3.Open System and Security
4.Change User Account Control settings and set the Slider bar to "Never Notify ".
 
Shut down and restart your SharePoint Server, and you will now be able to add web parts from Central Administration
